The Suicide Squad (2021)

The movie The Suicide Squad (2021), sometimes referred to as Suicide Squad 2, is a standalone sequel/reboot of the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Directed by James Gunn, it blends action, dark humor, and violent spectacle with a fresh take on the infamous anti-hero team from DC Comics.
Plot Summary
The story follows a new iteration of Task Force X, a secret government squad of supervillains forced to undertake high-risk missions in exchange for reduced prison sentences. This time, they are sent to the fictional South American island of Corto Maltese, where a dangerous experiment known as Project Starfish is taking place.
Under the leadership of Colonel Rick Flag and ruthless government official Amanda Waller, the team is divided into two groups. One is a decoy squad, which is quickly ambushed and wiped out. Meanwhile, the real mission is carried out by Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Peacemaker (John Cena), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), and King Shark (voiced by Sylvester Stallone).
As they infiltrate the island, they discover that the project involves a massive alien starfish called Starro the Conqueror, which has the ability to control people’s minds. The squad must decide whether to follow Waller’s orders or do the right thing by stopping the out-of-control experiment, leading to an explosive final battle against Starro.
