“The Salt Path” is a 2024 British drama film directed by Marianne Elliott in her feature directorial debut. Synopsis

The film follows Raynor and Moth Winn, a couple who, after losing their home and livelihood, and upon Moth’s diagnosis with a terminal illness, decide to embark on a 630-mile journey along the South West Coast Path in England. This transformative trek takes them from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset, traversing the rugged coastlines of Devon and Cornwall. Throughout their journey, they confront physical and emotional challenges, rediscovering their bond and resilience amidst the stunning yet demanding landscapes.

Production

Filming commenced in June 2023, with locations including Chepstow in Monmouthshire, Aust in Gloucestershire, East Head at West Wittering, Minehead in Somerset, and Hartland Quay in Devon.
