Plot Summary:

The story begins with a catastrophic nuclear explosion in New York City. A small group of survivors manages to take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, which has been designed as a fallout shelter by the building’s superintendent, Mickey. Among the survivors are Eva, her boyfriend Sam, and a mix of other tenants with clashing personalities.
